After Sunday's FA Cup semi-final marathon against Everton, Sir Alex Ferguson made wholesale changes for the second successive game, with a string of big-name players returning. Two of them - Giggs and Rooney - combined sumptuously to put United ahead inside nine minutes.

d3 makes it fast and easy. You don't need a review: unlike any other camera I can recall, just talk to anyone who owns the D3 and you'll hear praise gushing like no other camera. The Nikon D3 has no "buts," as in "I love it but..." Everyone just loves it. You'll hear the same thing from any photographer who had his hands on one for just a few minutes. The more someone knows about serious shooting, the more they love the D3.
D3 easily autofocused all by itself.
Well, like nothing Nikon produced previously. Okay, that's not exactly true. From an external standpoint, the D3 looks and feels like a D2xs with a larger viewfinder prism hump. All the mechanical and user interface things we enjoyed with the D2 series carry over pretty much intact. It's what's under the covers that brought all the surprises. Better autofocus. Better metering. Better image quality. Better high ISO performance. Better card write performance. It's as if someone took a decently regarded high-end sports car and found a miracle engine to put inside that transformed the whole package. Yes, it's that dramatic.
